I published my first novel The Eros Machine on February 8th, 2016. It was a strangely anticlimactic thing to do, given that I had been working on this unwieldly beast for months. It was written in little snatches here and there, stored on my iPad, slowly cobbled together and then fed into the gaping maw that is Amazon, and finally, set free to seek the adoration, indifference, or scorn of the general public.

And then, two days later, it sold its’ first copy. I made $3.42.

I’d love to know who that person is and what they think of it, and most importantly, how they ever managed to find it.

There are a lot of shorter books on Amazon, a lot of smuttier books, but my goal was to create a novel that had interesting characters and an interesting story, and then ladle sexy scenes over it generously. I’m not particularly good at euphemism, so the sex scenes are pretty graphic. But that’s why people buy erotica, right? My objective was to try to raise the bar a little, and give you, the reader, a superior story told with better writing than seems to be the norm on Amazon, with characters you can see in your head and care about. I hope I was successful.
